Well well well. It seems I can do one blog post per month. That’s a fairly reasonable goal I have somehow set without my own knowledge.
March has arrived with some new developments in life and a heat wave. It’s extremely freaking hot, I feel like I live in a very fancy oven, cooking away to glory.
Some new developments this month are:
- Health spell is going well. I occasionally eat a little dessert but not having any junk, managed to walk 11k steps today and having soup at night. It can get sad. My friend keeps telling me I eat like a “gavti gaavwali” since I eat one bhakri with veggies everyday. She’s like all you need to do now is smash an onion on the side and have. The bhakri turned out quite dry and hard today. To quote my friend, “rubbery enough to slap someone with it.”
- I am forcing myself out of the creative rut I am stuck in and have taken up two doodle orders. It’s time for me to get back to creating and I am glad that even after stopping art for three years, I still get commissions. God can be kind! I need to start it as soon as possible actually, will do so after writing.
- I randomly got Herpes Zoster. Which my silly friend thought was STD. Like Took me a while to make her understand that no, it’s not that herpes but basically a re-emergence of Chicken pox. It happens due to low immunity and my health has been up and down since 2021. It has been quite painful actually but somehow you forget your own pain when you are busy focusing on your child. I powered through because of Y. I am still recovering. Hopefully in a week should be better.
- Excited for our upcoming trip! Now that Y is nearly 3, I am guessing it should be little easier than before and less hectic. Maybe. Hope so. Pray for me!
- Read 7 books in the last two months and now nearly done with no 8! Reading has kept me sane. My Netflix time has reduced significantly and hopefully I reduce my phone time. So much time is wasted everyday in mindless scrolling on the phone.
- But Netflix and television is a very integral part of my life. I binged on Night Manager (Indian version) and it was superb. Saw You season 4, which was one of the most disappointing things I have ever seen. And I have seen lot of crappy shows in my life. Farzi was brilliant! Started watching the OG Night manager which is nice!
- Tornado Toddler now speaks like mad! He’s the biggest blabbermouth ever. Some of his favorite things to say are “what is this?’, “NO”, “Mumma go bathroom”, “Mumma cry”, “Naacho Naacho”. Naacho is his favorite song currently. He loves dancing on it. I am yet to teach him numbers from 20-30 but he does know Ram Charan and Junior NTR. While I miss the silent cute baby days, this new phase is wonderful. I am loving his blabbering.
I guess that’s about it on the “new development” list.
I made a huge subway sandwich for K last night and I skipped dinner. I was feeling full, no idea why! Tornado Toddler said something so mean to me today. He said “Mumma you go office, I want Daddy.” Honestly I felt so so bad. Like wtf man! But well, taking mothers for granted is ingrained in every child. I have done it too. And now it’s happening to me. I know father and son have their own bond but this was annoying. However I decided to take it with a pinch of salt. He may say whatever but even a leaf doesn’t move without me in this house. K is always worried about how he will handle Y if I am not there. So take me for granted my little toddler, you will always always need your Mumma even if you think you don’t.
He also says that he loves Daddy more than Mumma. Can you believe it? My stomach was torn to get this cheeky monkey out, I pumped a litre of milk a day for this cartoon, I stay home and give my all to him and then he goes around saying this! I cannot take this with a pinch of salt, need like a whole bottle of it. Maybe some Isabgol too to digest this.
But my tornado toddler, I am still going to love you the most, always and forever.
For breakfast I am going to be having a nice Avocado sandwich! Why are Avocados so expensive. It’s like 275 bucks and I need to finish it within two days otherwise it get’s super black once cut. K hates it. Y luckily likes it a bit and hopefully will eat it. Y was a little down and has not been eating properly. I made him a nice chocolate pancake with strawberry jam, which I made from scratch. He just had the jam. And today all he’s had is air fried french fries and jelly. But he has hunger for all things junk and sweet. Just not food. What is it with kids. Why don’t they eat properly.
I really need to start working on my order, I want to read, I want to blog, I want to do 10k steps. There’s a lot to do. It’s a chaotic morning where K can’t find his trousers, Y is screaming for Cococmelon and refused to brush his teeth. My maid wants two days leave. Y is now refusing breakfast. Bira my pet is the only one who is sorted and the least bit of trouble in my circus of life. Honestly I want to just cozy up in bed with my book and my green tea.
That’s all at my end!
Peace.
