Jack and her collection…

After quickly making biryani and prepping for my class today, I have now found some time to briskly write a post.

It has been a great week of reading, classes, yoga and creating fun animations on my software. But there’s been so much on my plate that I have had zero time to do any art of comic. I guess my life is going to go being Jack.

Not the Titanic Jack where I sink in a cold ocean (God forbid) but the Jack from the quote, “Jack of all trades, master of none”. I am doing 100 things at the same time, hence I doubt I can focus on creating huge artworks anymore. And that’s okay I guess because I am happy doing these 100 things. And art will happen when it has to. I have stopped fretting over things. When I want to read, I read. I teach, I do yoga and watch Netflix whenever I want. Blog whenever I want. Basically it’s great to “just be”.

Can’t wait to create more comics though. I know suddenly I will sit one of these days and randomly produce two to three comics in an hour. Probably one Sunday I just whip out my pen and doodle away. I get my sudden creative bursts occasionally.

Anyway, this post is not about Jack or my rambling. I had mentioned before in one of my posts that I wanted to start collecting something. K has a massive 100 plus collection of novelty keychains. My friends collect shot glasses and fridge magnets. Some people collect coins and stamps. Some people collect human bones.

Just kidding. (But you never know)

So I finally found what I want to collect! And now I am officially a “BOOKMARK” collector! I always had a fascination for bookmarks and would buy unique ones. I had a very bad habit of folding pages but since the last few months I avoided. And just a few days back I thought, why not start collecting bookmarks!

I already had 3 to 4 beautiful ones, I got a few online and K got me 8 more! So now I have a decent start to my collection and will keep doing it. Have even contacted a few artists who will be creating lovely hand made bookmarks for me.

It’s really amazing and gives a lot of happiness when you start a collection. No wonder K goes ballistic whenever he sees keychains. Sometimes I feel a little regret that had I started this before, I could have picked up so many pretty ones from all my travels and would have had a huge collection by now. Nevertheless, it’s never too late! Have my whole life ahead to keep collecting.

Will be sharing some pretty ones with all of you. And will always show you guys whenever I get new ones….

Anyway, that’s all from my end.

So happy it’s Friday night.

Peace.
